You can create a prop zoo from a VMF file by clicking Wall Worm > Wall Worm Importers > Create Prop Zoo from VMF. This function will find all the props used in the VMF and lay them out in the current Max scene. This function is dependent on the WallWormMDL plugin, which is only available in 3ds Max 2015+.
