Convert Blends and 4ways to OSL
If you need to render your scenes, you may find that displacements often do not look correct. This is because the displacements are using approximation materials for rendering and not the DirectX shader used to display blending in the viewport. The solution is to convert the blend materials to OSL (only available in 3ds Max 2019+).
How to do this is described below:
- Select objects in scene using the WorldVertexTransition or Lightmapped_4wayblend DX shaders (usually displacements)
- Click Wall Worm > Wall Worm Materials > Blends to OSL.
