Attachments & Particle System UI
Attachments are points on your model where you can attach extra models and particle systems (guns, sprites, etc). This page details both Attachments and Particle Systems since the Particle System controls are also in the attachment rollout.
VMF Importer
You can use Wall Worm to import a VMF into 3ds Max. This allows you to bring in your Hammer project into 3ds Max.
Unexpected Model Orientation in VMF Exporter
Fixed in WWMT 1.772
The orientation of models in the QC Generator has been flipped on the Z-axis and the VMF Exporter is also rotated to accomodate this result. You may need to recompile models compiled before the 1.772 update.
Export Multiple Texture Skins
You can give your model multiple skins (textures) so that the same mesh can look differently in different uses.
Studiomdl.exe - Model has 2-dimensional geometry

This error is usually caused by models having a $concave flag that do not have proper collision hulls.
Generating LODs
The Level of Detail Generator on the Level of Detail Tools Rollout lets you generate LOD models from the root mesh. The tool will make lower-res versions of your model so that less polygons are rendered in-game when players move farther away.
Grouped Geometry is Not Supported
When exporting grouped models to SMD, the SMD exporter will fail to export your model correctly.
